DSTV INSTALLATIONS · PLANNED FROM THE START
A new DStV connection is easier to live with when the dish, decoder, television position and cable route are considered together. We start with the rooms where you want to watch and the equipment you already have, then work back to a sensible external position.
Some homes need one straightforward viewing point. Others have several rooms, a renovation in progress, a shared system or estate rules for external equipment. Those details shape the quotation. We would rather ask a few useful questions first than promise one package that cannot suit every property.

Send the exact address only when you are ready to book. A safe photo of the television area or existing equipment may help, but nobody should climb onto a roof for an enquiry. We explain what the quotation includes before work starts.

START WITH THE ROOM
Perhaps the television is already in place and you only need the connection. Perhaps you are moving into an empty home and want the dish, cable route and decoder position planned together. Tell us which situation sounds like yours. It gives us a useful starting point before we discuss equipment.
We look at a suitable dish position, a secure mounting point and a practical route to the decoder. Inside, we consider the television input, access to power and how you will use the remote. The aim is a working arrangement that makes sense in the room, not a collection of cables you have to work around.
If you have more than one room in mind, mention that before the visit. Showing the same picture on another screen and using separate decoders are different arrangements. We explain the options and agree on what the installation will include.
DISH · CABLING · DECODER
Depending on the job, the work can include a dish and bracket, a compatible LNB, coaxial cable, connections to the decoder and testing at the agreed viewing points. We establish what is required for your particular decoder and property before recommending parts.
Existing equipment is worth checking. A dish may be suitable for reuse, while an exposed cable or an unsuitable LNB may need attention. We do not treat the presence of a dish as proof that the whole setup is ready, and we do not assume everything needs replacing either.
Cable routing is discussed before drilling begins. Surface trunking, existing conduits and accessible wall outlets can each be useful, depending on the building. Concealed cabling is not possible everywhere, and changes to electrical wiring are not included unless separately arranged with a suitably qualified person.
HOMES · COMPLEXES · ESTATES
For a rented home, complex or estate, check any permissions for external brackets, cabling or access to shared equipment. If there is a communal dish, send that detail when you enquire so the proposed work fits the system already serving the building.
Once the equipment is connected, we check the agreed viewing points and explain the basic operation. Subscription activation and account authorisation remain with DStv; an installation quotation should not be mistaken for a subscription offer.
ARRANGING YOUR VISIT
Your suburb, property type, decoder model and number of viewing points help us understand the job. A photo of the television area or existing equipment is welcome. You do not need to climb onto a roof or remove a cover to obtain one.

Yes, tell us the model and bring its remote and power accessories. We assess the connections needed and whether your existing dish, LNB and cabling are suitable.
The physical installation and DStv account charges are separate unless a written offer explicitly includes both. Ask what is covered before accepting the quote.
Often, but the best approach depends on the equipment and whether you want independent viewing. Mention future plans now so we can discuss a sensible layout.
