PLANNING THE POSITION
The most convenient place for a television is not always directly behind the best dish position. Before fitting the equipment, we consider the signal path, secure mounting, access and how the cable will reach the room. The aim is to make the setup practical without placing a visible cable across a space where it will bother you every day.
Tell us where the main television will sit and whether you want viewing in a bedroom, entertainment room or separate part of the house. If you have existing conduits, wall outlets or an equipment cupboard, point them out. We can check whether they suit the proposed connection rather than assume every outlet is ready to use.
For a new build or renovation, it helps to discuss DStv cabling before walls and ceilings are closed. We can agree on the route with the person responsible for the project. Electrical work, changes to finished walls and work outside the agreed installation scope are discussed separately.
ONE ROOM OR SEVERAL
There is a difference between sending the same picture to another television and using compatible decoders for independent viewing. Tell us what you actually want each room to do. We will explain the options in everyday language before deciding what to connect.
For new XtraView installations, the decoder combination determines the connection method. We check the models, the LNB arrangement and the required links before confirming the installation. We will not assume that an older decoder works with every newer model.
DStv determines subscriptions, authorisation and any ongoing access charges. The quotation covers the physical work and equipment expressly listed in it. Ask us if you are unsure where the installation ends and the account arrangements begin.
HOW THE VISIT WORKS

We discuss the proposed equipment, cable route, access and quotation. If the property needs an assessment first, we say so. Arrange estate entry and any required approval before the visit.

We carry out the agreed installation, check the viewing points and show you the setup. Keep your remotes and television accessories nearby so the handover can cover the equipment you will actually use.
AN HONEST QUOTE
The right price depends on the job. A single-room connection with suitable existing equipment is different from a new dish, a long cable run and several decoders. The number of viewing points, equipment choice, access and any extra work all affect the final quotation.
Send us the basics and we can discuss the likely scope. Where we need to inspect the property before confirming a price, we will explain that. We would rather give you a quotation that matches your home than advertise one attractive figure that leaves out most of the work.
